Texas death row inmate Robert Roberson was subpoenaed again to appear at the state Capitol on Friday to provide testimony regarding the 2002 death of his 2-year-old daughter.
Roberson was convicted of killing his daughter through what prosecutors described as shaken baby syndrome.
The latest subpoena follows an earlier one in October when Roberson’s scheduled execution was halted. Officials have not yet set a new execution date.
Roberson’s case has drawn attention from legal experts and advocacy groups questioning the reliability of shaken baby syndrome as a basis for his conviction.
