A Texas family got quite a shock when they went out to enjoy their pool on a hot afternoon in Salado.
The family says someone picked up a pool noodle and a rattlesnake came slithering out. Some babies, too.
They were naturally shaken up but no one was hurt.
The Salado Volunteer Fire Department says that before kicking back and relaxing near your pool this summer to be on the lookout for rattlesnakes.
"There could be snakes in your pool noodles" says officials with the fire department. "With the temperatures getting hotter, it's only natural for these snakes to be looking for a cooler place to stay. Be sure to stay safe this summer and check your pool noodles just in case!"
