A school bus accident happened outside of Waco early Monday morning resulting in the driver being sent to the hospital.
The crash happened about an hour east of Waco on FM 488. A Fairfield Independent School District bus was involved in what's being identified as a "major crash with injuries." It's reported that the bus left the road and hit a utility pole.
The Texas Department of Public Safety says the bus driver was sent to the nearest hospital. However, Fairfield ISD Superintendent Joe Craig says every student on the bus is safe and the injuries are only minor.
According to the Fairfield EMS, the scene is dangerous with power lines down, leaving around 1,200 locals without power. The investigation is ongoing.
This incident came after two were killed Friday, including a child, and 10 others were injured when a Hays County School bus returning from a field trip to the zoo collided with a cement truck.
