In Shelby County, in east Texas, Timpson schools are closed today because there's no electricity because so many power lines were taken down Wednesday as severe storms rolled through.
The Timpson school district says power could be out for as long as three days.
Late last night, the Shelby County Sheriff's Office put out a statement asking residents to "please stay off the roadways. Trees and powerlines are down everywhere. Deputies are responding to calls of residents trapped in houses."
No injuries have been reported.
