Shiner Beer is introducing a non-alcoholic version of its iconic Shiner Bock amber lager in stores as part of Dry January, offering fans the familiar flavor with less than 0.5 percent alcohol by volume.
The Texas-based brewery says the new option reflects growing consumer demand for alcohol-free beverages that still deliver traditional beer taste.
The launch places Shiner among a rising number of major brewers expanding into non-alcoholic offerings as more drinkers look to cut back without giving up social and flavor experiences.
Industry analysts say the category has seen steady growth nationwide, especially during January, when many consumers choose to abstain from alcohol.
