One of the most famous images in American history is the painting of George Washington standing atop a rowboat as it crosses the Delaware River during the American Revolution.

You can kind of reenact that painting with your own presidential speedboat!

A speedboat belonging to former President George H.W. Bush will be going up for auction this week, as part of the 2024 Presidential Salute auction in Houston!

The 2011-model Fountain 38CC named “Fidelity V” was purchased by Bush after he and his son were both out of office.  According to NBC DFW, the 1,000horsepower, 38-foot vessel is emblazoned with a presidential seal and boasts three Mercury outboard engines that can propel it to 75 mph!

Proceeds from the sale will be used to expand offerings at the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library & Museum and The Bush School of Government & Public Service at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
