The next few days will be a time for the arborist to shine as storm damage is creating business for tree trimmers.
After Tuesday's storms, companies that cut down or cut up fallen trees are in demand across North Texas. Some homeowners wonder whether that big tree in their yard has just suffered a crack that could lead to it falling on top of someone.
But Gene Gehring of the International Society of Arboriculture, that's the group that represents professional tree cutters says it can be tough to find someone who knows what they are doing.
He warns against trying to get on a ladder and cutting yourself that, he says, can lead to a fall and serious injuries.
