Study names Texas the 'cussing capital' of the U.S.

Have you ever heard the thought that cursing is actually a sign of intelligence?

If that’s true, Texans might just be the smartest group of people in the country because apparently, we love to curse!

A new study from BonusFinder, an online casino search platform, analyzed Reddit posts from individual state subreddits to find that Texans curse more than any other state on the platform.

According to the Austin American-Statesman, there were 4,743 curse words within 691 posts reviewed for Texas, which averaged out to about 6.9 curse words per post.  Ohio came in second for cursing with 6.7 curse words per post.

The top ten “cussing capitals” of the U.S. include:

Texas: 6.9 curse words per post
Ohio: 6.7 curse words per post
Florida: 6.5 curse words per post
Tenessee: 6.2 curse words per post
Missouri: 6.1 curse words per post
Iowa: 5.2 curse words per post
Indiana: 4.8 curse words per post
Louisiana: 4.7 curse words per post
Oklahoma: 4.3 curse words per post
Idaho: 4.2 curse words per post
