We all know a family or two that treats their dogs better than their own children. That person may in fact be you.
Whether it's allowing dogs on the furniture or saving a seat for them at the table, a new survey from Forbes found the states that have a higher proclivity for pampering their pooches, and Texas ranks at the top of the heap.
Texas ranked eighth in the nation for spoiling their dogs based on how people treat their dogs across the country, from prioritizing their health to celebrating their birthdays.
Forbes found that 49.5% of Texans spend more money on their dog's health and grooming than their own, and that 44.5% of dog owners regularly throw birthday parties or other celebrations for their dogs.
The top ten states with the most spoiled dogs include:
1 - Florida
2 - Alaska
3 - Washington
4 - Colorado
5 - California
6 - New Jersey
7 - Illinois
8 - Texas
9 - Delaware
10 - Virginia
On the reverse, the survey found that the states that spoil their dogs the least include: Oklahoma, Indiana, Wisconsin, Idaho, New Mexico and South Carolina.
