Any time a school has students attempt to sell something for a fundraiser; it inevitably ends up being the parents doing most of the work. Whether its food, books, or home supplies, the top selling child usually has a parent hitting up all their friends for sales. That's why one Texas dad decided to skip the games, and instead started a GoFundMe page asking for donations to avoid having to go door-to-door attempting to sell kitchen products from a catalog.

Jacob Taylor of Marble Falls was stunned when Tierra Vista Montessori School, where his child goes, sent home catalogs to parents, asking for help funding the school's new chicken coop. While Taylor wanted to help the school build the coop, he had no interest in attempting to sell the products inside the catalog. According to KXAN, the catalog featured products such as; a "Let's Taco About It" tortilla warmer, an avocado peeler, an egg bite mold and a gourmet melon baller.

Instead of dealing with the embarrassment of going door-to-door, Taylor started his own fundraiser, asking for $5 donations. "You give me $5, I stop bugging you about fundraisers, everyone is happy," said Taylor. Luckily, donations have been pouring in, as it appears Taylor's honesty did a better job at funding the chicken coop than the catalog.
