Texas DPS experiences outage prompting early closure of driver license offices statewide Monday

The Texas Department of Public Safety is wrapping up the day early at their driver license offices statewide Monday afternoon due to a systems outage issue.

According to the notice, Texas DPS is experiencing an outage that impacts all driver license offices prompting them to close early for the day. They say their staff is working to reschedule appointments for those affected as quickly as possible and apologize for the inconvenience.

They also want to remind the public that DPS offices, including driver license offices, will be closed on December 31 and January 1 in observance of the New Year’s holiday.
