
It's another new employment record for Texas.
The Texas Workforce Commission says the state added 77,800 non-agricultural jobs in February, lifting the number of employed Texans to an all-time high of nearly 13.2 million. It's the fourth straight month that the record has been shattered.

The state's unemployment rate slipped to 4.7 percent. The greater Austin area has the lowest figure, while McAllen-Edinburg-Mission has the highest. DFW and Sherman-Denison are below the statewide average, checking in at or just above four percent unemployment.
