You might not look at Texas as a particularly healthy state. But, there are some places in the Lone Star State that are in better shape than you might have thought.
A company called Dwellics took a look at three thousand counties to find which are the healthiest counties around the country. It looked at factors like cancer and death, air and water quality, drug abuse, and life expectancy.
Utah cleaned up in the ratings with four of the top five on the list.
The state of Texas has nine of the top 100 healthiest counties on the chart.
The healthiest county in the state is Webb County, where Laredo is. It landed number 30 overall in the US.
Second place in Texas is Hidalgo County in the Valley, finishing 38th overall. Brazos County, Bee County, Collin County, and Dallas County all hit in the top 60 healthiest out of 3,000 counties.
