A Texas man has nine years of prison ahead of him after being sentenced in a South Carolina armed robbery case.

The US Attorney's Office says Houston resident Deveon Gibbs has a long criminal rap sheet which includes a nearly 12-year sentence for bank robbery. Now, he's getting nine years for another bank robbery, this one at an ATM at a bank drive-through in South Carolina. Plus, two years were tacked on for violating the conditions of his supervised release.

In the ATM heist, Gibbs and cohort pepper-sprayed a couple of technicians who were servicing the machine in the town of Irmo, in central South Carolina.

The two men escaped with about $77,000 and were tracked down back in Texas. Police recovered only about $55,000 of that stolen cash.
