A man who told police he refused to end up behind bars again is right where he doesn't want to be.
The Navarro County Sheriff's Department says 65-year-old Arlie Glenn Gaston pulled out a gun at a Family Dollar store in Dawson, southwest of Corsicana, and demanded money.
Report say when deputies arrived at the scene, Gaston came to the front of the store with a revolver and told them he'd been in prison for 21 years for murder, and that he wouldn't go back.
There was a brief standoff, then officials say Gaston surrendered.
Nobody in the store was hurt and Gaston was booked into the Navarro County Jail on a charge of aggravated robbery. He's being held on a $150,000 bond.
