The Texas General Land Office has offered President-elect Donald Trump a 1,400-acre ranch in Starr County to build detention centers for mass deportations.
Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham said the office is ready to collaborate with federal agencies to facilitate the largest deportation of violent criminals in the nation's history.
The land, recently purchased by the state, is located along the U.S.-Mexico border and was previously used for farming.
This offer aligns with Trump's campaign promises to clamp down on immigration and deport undocumented individuals en masse.
