The Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum in Waco recently received its biggest bequest ever from the estate of Samuel McClendon, the son-in-law of a Ranger who was involved in the museum's founding 57 years ago.
Sam and Donna McClendon were life-long supporters of the museum. Donna McClendon was the daughter of Texas Ranger Senior Captain Clint Peoples whose Rangers career included high-profile investigations of the infamous Texas financier Billy Sol Estes and the La Grange Chicken Ranch bordello.
People died in a car crash 30 years ago.
