Texas reacts to President Trump’s declaration of a national emergency on southern border

President Trump’s declaration of a national emergency on the southern border is getting applause in Texas.

His executive orders to send troops to the southern border, to end catch and release, and reinstate his remain in Mexico policy are just what Texas Governor Greg Abbott was hoping to hear.

"All illegal entry will immediately be halted, and we will begin the process of returning millions and millions of criminal aliens to the places from which they came," said President Trump.

Governor Greg Abbott had already sent President Trump a letter asking for the federal government's help saying Texas has fought to secure the border in the face of federal obstruction. Trump told Abbott Monday that now you have a partner.
