A Texas state senator is up on a DWI charge after being arrested in Austin Tuesday.
Reports say Georgetown Republican Charles Schwertner was released a few hours later on a $3,000 bond.
The report from the officer who pulled Schwertner over says he was swerving back and forth and not staying in his lane which was enough cause to stop him.
The police report says the senator had "bloodshot, glassy and watery eyes and was confused and had slurred speech."
