The Texas Longhorns' season has come to an end with last night's loss to the Washington Huskies in the Alamo Bowl.
Washington downed the 'Horns 27-20 as the Texas running game never got untracked, rushing for just 51 yards.
Running backs Bijan Robinson and Roschon Johnson did not play to prevent injury after declaring for the upcoming NFL draft. But Southlake Carroll product Quinn Ewers had a strong game, going 31-47, good for 369 yards and one touchdown.
Steve Sarkisian said a big component to the loss was his team's losing the time of possession battle. The Huskies held the ball for ten minutes more than Texas.
In Sark's second season in Austin, his team ends up at 8-5, a nice step up from last year's 5-7.
