For one officer in Alvarado, his recent police chase wasn’t quite what he thought it would be. As seen in a video that recently went viral the officer was involved in a police chase of a different kind-- he was tracking down a pig, not a criminal.
On Thursday, the Alvarado Police Department shared a video of one of their officers attempting to run down a pig on the loose. The incident occurred in a Sonic parking lot, as a customer was able to film the cop running after the pig from their car. According to CBS News, the police chase started along U.S.
Highway 67, before heading to the Sonic parking lot.

Luckily, the cop eventually caught the pig and it is currently with animal control. Of course, the police department couldn’t help but poke fun at the situation, captioning the video “Give us what you got! There are entirely too many jokes … so put your best in the comments section!" Hopefully the pig learned its lesson and will live a law-abiding life from now on.
