Whataburger kicked off the New Year by teasing a new ketchup flavor on the way. Now, that new condiment has been revealed, and fans are already asking for it to become a permanent menu fixture. For a limited time, Whataburger is now offering “spicy ketchup limited batch #2” at all locations.

Back in 2012, Whataburger introduced customers to spicy ketchup and despite only being available for a limited time it quickly became a hit. A year later it was brought back permanently, and now nine years later; they are adding a little more spice to the condiment. The new “spicy ketchup limited batch #2” adds hot sauce made from arbol and piquin peppers along with a blend of house spices to Whataburger's signature fancy ketchup, according to Dallas Observer.

“As much as our customers love Whataburger Spicy Ketchup, we thought we’d treat them to a new limited-batch ketchup with a spicier, more complex taste,” said Whataburger senior vice president and chief marketing officer Rich Scheffler. The fast food chain has not announced when the limited edition condiment will be leaving the menu. For fans of spice, this ketchup is a must try.
