A Houston woman was sentenced to six years in prison for her role in an online dating scam, authorities say.
Dominique Golden, 31, used dating sites, Facebook, even Words with Friends to meet people and cultivate romantic relationships, according to federal prosecutors in Rhode Island.
They said she collected more than $1 million from victims, plus two luxury cars, three handguns, three Rolex watches, and a diamond necklace.
She pleaded guilty to wire fraud and conspiracy to commit mail fraud and was sentenced to more than six years in prison. But she's already behind bars -- in Georgia, serving 4 1/2 years for conspiracy in an unrelated case.
