A North Texas teenager was killed in a freak accidcent this week when a car crashed into her home while she was taking virtual classes online.
Seventeen-year-old Aramis Mora was doing her school work online Monday when a car veered across the front lawn and smashed into the room where she was sitting.
Aramis was a senior at Greenville High School in Texas.
Officials say it's not clear why the driver lost control and Greenville Police have not decided if charges will be filed against the unidentified driver who was transported to a local hospital following the accident. Their condition has not been released.
Officials with the Greenville ISD released a statement regarding the teen:
“Aramis attended GISD schools her entire academic life, starting as a kindergartner at Crockett. She also attended Carver, Sixth Grade Center and Greenville Middle School. She was known for her sweet, calm spirit and for being an excellent student with a special interest in art and fashion design. Our prayers go out to Aramis, her family, and all those who love her. We will all miss this special young woman.”
The family will hold a candlelight vigil to honor and remember Aramis tonight at 7:00 p.m. at their home.
