When the Texas Rangers open their 2025 season Thursday, fans can see two new exhibits at Globe Life Field. The Rangers are celebrating the career of Elvis Andrus and the 15th anniversary of the 2010 season when the team won its first American League Pennant.
Both exhibits are near the Southeast Entrance to Globe Life Field joining memorabilia from the 2023 World Series title which remains on display.
"All of them are pretty cool," Andrus says. "All the love from the fans and the organization. I was just very blessed for my whole career, my 12 years here as a Ranger."
Andrus will be inducted into the Texas Rangers' Hall of Fame June 28. He played most of his career in Texas. He was traded to the Athletics in before the 2021 season and later played with the Chicago White Sox. He signed a one day contract in 2024 to retire as a Ranger.
"Everything that happened in my career happened here in Texas," he says. "I'm very blessed and fortunate being inducted into the Hall of Fame by the organization."
Among items on display are Andrus' "Daddy Shark" bat used in 2019, the jersey he wore at the 2010 All-Star Game, the glove used during his final game in 2023 and a ticket from his Major League debut in 2009. He also provided several bobbleheads given out during his career.
"I have, like, 200 of those at home. They always give you a full box. Actually, a bunch of them, my kids broke them. They started throwing them on the floor," he says. "The Elvis Presley one, that one's pretty cool. I kind of wish I had that type of hair."
The exhibit featuring items from the 2023 World Series title remains on display in the same area of the Southeast Entrance lobby. Items there include the ball used to strike out Ketel Marte for the final out of Game Five, the Rangers' official lineup card from Game Five and the jersey worn by Corey Seager in Game One.
