Good Wednesday morning, everyone! I hope you’re having a great week so far.
Fall officially arrived yesterday at 7:05 p.m., but unfortunately, Mother Nature apparently didn’t get the memo! It’s not going to feel much like fall for at least the next seven days.
We’re waking up to temperatures in the mid to upper 70s this morning. The average low for this time of year is around 66 degrees, so we’re running roughly 10 degrees above average before the sun even comes up.
Yesterday, we reached 96 degrees, and I’m forecasting another 96 degrees today under partly cloudy skies. Friday may be a couple of degrees cooler, with highs around 93 to 94 degrees. Saturday looks similar, and we could climb right back to 97 or 98 degrees Sunday.
Looking ahead to next week, Monday still looks warm with highs in the mid-90s. But Tuesday is the day I’m really watching.
The European, American, and several other forecast models have been hinting at a pretty significant weather change sometime Tuesday into Wednesday morning.
Now, we’re still 8 to 9 days out, so there’s plenty of time for the forecast to change. But I’ll be watching those model trends closely over the coming days and will keep you posted.
So, fall may have officially arrived, but the thermometer didn’t get the invitation!
