A large area of chilly rain has broken out to the west of north and central Texas. Movement is to the northeast and will not affect north Texas through the day, Friday.
This being said, there will be some scattered showers that will form across north Texas during the day. Temperatures will hold steady in the upper 40s to low 50s.
By this evening, another area of widespread rain will develop to our southwest and slowly spread across North Texas between 9:00 p.m. tonight and 6:00 a.m. Sat. Most of this should be in Oklahoma by mid-morning tomorrow. Anywhere between 1.5" to 3" of chilly rain will fall. No sleet or snow is expected. Sorry kiddies!
