Above average temperatures and below normal precipitation, that's our weather story through early next week.
At least the mornings are cool! We're starting off anywhere between 52 and 64 across north Texas this morning. These cool mornings will continue through the rest of the week, but the afternoons will be pretty warm for this time of the year. Daytime highs today and tomorrow we'll be in the mid to upper eighties. We'll push 90゚ on Thursday and warm up into the low nineties Friday through Sunday. Our average high this time of the year is 83゚.
Our next subtle weather change arrives late Sunday in the form of a weak cold front. This front may produce a few late evening showers and storms on Sunday into early Monday morning, but right now it looks like most of us will stay dry. But you know me, I'll keep an eye on things just in case.
Temperatures will be slightly cooler behind the front on Monday with high temperatures in the middle 80s.
Some of the extended data is hinting at a pretty strong cold front arriving here by the middle of next week. If all things pan out, some areas will dip into the forties by next Thursday morning with daytime highs only in the low to mid 70s for Wednesday and Thursday. It's still days away but something to wish for!
