**WARMER THAN NORMAL, LITTLE TO NO RAIN, BUT A PATTERN CHANGE IS COMING!**
Good morning, North Texas! Happy Friday! It’s payday for some of you, so hopefully you have something fun planned for the weekend!
Above-average temperatures and below-average precipitation will continue to be our weather story across North Texas for the next week. However, a pretty significant pattern change may begin to unfold around Halloween weekend, bringing cooler temperatures and increasing rain chances.
In the meantime, if you still need to give your yard one last overhaul before cooler weather settles in, you’ve got some time! November will be here before you know it, and the holidays are just around the corner.
**WHAT TO EXPECT THROUGH THE WEEKEND**
High pressure will remain firmly in control of our weather, keeping North Texas warm and dry. Meanwhile, a strong, slow-moving upper-level disturbance across the Intermountain West has been producing severe weather, tornado watches, hail, and even snow across higher elevations.
This system will slowly move through New Mexico over the next 24 to 36 hours, followed by another disturbance late Saturday into Sunday. Unfortunately, the associated rainfall will remain well to our west across West Texas, the Panhandle, and the South Plains. None of that precipitation is expected to reach the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Here in North Texas, here's what you can expect:
- Morning lows climbing into the 60s this weekend.- Afternoon highs reaching the low to middle 80s.- Increasing cloud cover early next week, with highs closer to 80 degrees and morning lows remaining in the 60s.
**WHEN WILL OUR WEATHER FINALLY CHANGE?**
This stubborn bubble of high pressure will continue acting like a brick wall, keeping most of the rain away until we approach the end of next week.
That's when I'm watching for another disturbance to dig into the Desert Southwest, allowing northerly flow to develop and a pretty decent cold front to push into Texas.
The timing is still coming together, but the following weekend could bring a noticeable change toward cooler weather and better rain chances.
It's still too early to discuss specific rainfall amounts, the potential for severe weather, or exactly how much cooler temperatures will get. We'll continue monitoring the trends and keep you updated as the forecast becomes clearer!
**ONE MORE THING!** Don't forget that next weekend we get that extra hour of sleep as we fall back to Standard Time!
Otherwise, enjoy the beautiful weather while it lasts. Remember, folks, it's the only weather you've got!

Have a fantastic Friday and a wonderful weekend! Talk to you later!
