Above average temperatures through noon Friday, a breezy and cool weekend ahead

thursday
National Weather Service - Fort Worth

A couple of more warm days before a Fall-feel to the air returns to North Texas.

We're starting Thursday with some patchy drizzle and low clouds across North Texas. Temperatures have fallen into the low to mid-60s. For those of you that do see sunshine today, it will mainly be Fort Worth and to the west, you'll shoot up close to 90° this afternoon. Those who stay underneath the low clouds will have a hard time getting above 80 degrees.

Some low clouds will roll in again tonight out ahead of our cold front that will be arriving shortly before noon on Friday. Morning lows will range from 65 to 70° tomorrow morning with afternoon highs anywhere between 77 and 85 from NW to SE. Once the cold front comes through, much cooler-drier air will filter into the area. A north wind will pick up and gust to 30 mph until evening and then relax to about 20 mph overnight. Grab your jacket if you're heading to high school football games.
