Cool mornings, pleasant afternoons through the weekend

It's a nice and cool, comfortable morning here across north Texas. Temperatures have fallen mainly into the low to mid 50s. Wind is slowly returning from the south as high temperatures creep into the upper 70s.

You want a nice weekend, well you've got it. Plenty of sunshine will dominate with high temperatures warming into mid to upper 80s tomorrow. It'll be a bit cooler on Sunday, as a weak cold front comes to the area during the morning hours. There will be a few showers showing up on radar, but most will not reach the ground and stay north of DFW.  Temperatures will be a bit cooler with readings in the upper 70s.

Next week brings no major weather changes as temperatures warm back into the eighties. No rain is in the forecast.

Note, I will be watching the southern Gulf of Mexico next week as there may be a tropical storm or a hurricane moving into deep south Texas or eastern Mexico. Some of this moisture may creep into the western half of the state by next weekend. Please remember, hurricane season does run until November 30th.
