I've got some good news and some bad news…. Bad news is, heat advisories are in effect today, tomorrow and possibly into Sunday as well. Daytime highs will flirt with 100ﾟ each day. Factor in the humidity, it will feel more like 105ﾟ to 107ﾟ during peak heating.
Good news: There could be a renegade shower storm today, but increasing rain chances start late Sunday into Monday, as a cold front slides through the area! Yes, a cold front to start August off! Temperatures will be a little bit cooler all next week with highs in the 80s on Monday, but will creep back in the 90s Tuesday and Wednesday with a slight chance for a shower storm.
Looking farther ahead, some data is hinting at an upper level disturbance getting trapped somewhere across the northern half of Texas by the middle to end of next week. This would increase shower thunderstorm chances once again across North Texas. Stay tuned!
