A Heat Advisory is in effect for today, our high grass fire danger will continue for the foreseeable future, a slight chance of a shower or storm tomorrow and then again by the middle of next week, and our triple digit trend will continue at least for the next 7 days.
We hit 104° yesterday marking the 19th consecutive triple digit day in a row. We've also had 39 triple digit days so far this year and 61 consecutive days with no measurable rain at DFW airport. These are terrible stats to talk about, but this has been a terrible summer.
We're waking up to temperatures in the low 80s this morning with a southerly wind at 15 to 20 mph. A heat advisory is in effect for today, with an afternoon high near 104°. A south wind will continue to blow at 10 to 20 mph, creating a very high grass fire danger. By this evening, a few isolated showers and storms will try to sneak across the Red River Valley and affect our northern counties. DFW stays dry.

Afternoon highs will be a little cooler with readings near 100°. Heat advisories should be gone tomorrow through the weekend, as we top out near 100 degrees both Saturday and Sunday, but no rain is in the forecast.
Subtle weather changes by the middle of next week. Monday's high will be near 102°, only near 100° for Tuesday and Wednesday, with the slight chance of showers and storms.
