As colder temperature comes, pool owners will need to do some tweaks with its maintenance.

Wyatt Flournoy, owner of Mustang Pool Service in Grapevine, tells the KRLD Morning News the adjustments are pretty easy.

Flournoy says that when the water temperature reaches 60 degrees, the salt in your pools doesn't turn into chlorine. This is when you need to start chaning up the maintenance of your pools.

This means keeping your water moving overnight and at least four hours throughout the day so it doesn't freeze.

It's also advised to look for active leaks that can lead to freeze damage and use liquid treatment systems.
