Some areas saw some pretty heavy rain yesterday, especially in Collin County were some areas measured over an inch! Only 0.12" of rain fell at DFW airport.
Radar as quiet this morning, however we do have some areas of fog that have developed across North Texas. This will erode away pretty quickly this morning. Temperatures are a little bit below average as well with readings between 69° and 75゚.
Your forecast for today and tomorrow calls for an isolated shower or storm with high temperatures near 90 today, low 90s tomorrow. Any showers or storms that do form will be few and far between and will dissipate rapidly by sunset.
You want summertime temperatures and triple digit heat? Well it's coming very quickly. A large area of high pressure will build across the central plains states into the weekend and for all of next week. This dome will nose it's way into all of Texas by this weekend and especially next week. This will allow temperatures to creep towards the century mark as soon as Sunday, but most likely for all of next week. Typical late July and early August weather on the way!
