The heat index at DFW airport right now is 87゚. Pretty thick out! Good news right now, no heat advisories are in effect for north Texas, but the heat index values will approach 105゚ today through Saturday. Afternoon highs will reach the mid to upper nineties with plenty of sunshine and a nice breeze at 15 to 25 mph.

A big weather change is coming Sunday through at least Wednesday of next week! Cooler temperatures and the threat for showers and thunderstorms as a cold front goes stationary somewhere along or north of Interstate 20 through midweek. As of now, I'm not expecting anything severe, but there will be some gusty winds accompanying the stronger storms.

Enjoy your day and remember to drink plenty of water and take frequent breaks if you're going to be working outdoors.
