Morning clouds afternoon sun is our weather story today through Thursday. Morning lows will only be in the mid to upper 60s, afternoon highs near 80°.
Our big weather change arrives Thursday evening as a very strong cold front plows through the area. There's a very slight chance of a few showers or thunderstorms along the front, greatest chances will be in the Arklatex.

You'll wake up Friday morning to temperatures in the 40s, and Wind chills will be in the 30s. Plenty of sunshine will dominate Veterans Day through the weekend with highs only in the low to mid 50s, Friday through the weekend. Morning lows will be in the mid-30s to low forties.
The freeze line will creep ominously close to the Red River Valley on Saturday morning. Our average first freeze at DFW is November 22. A slow warm-up is expected through the middle of next week, however, another strong front may arrive by the following Wednesday. Maybe even sooner than that, data is all over the place this far in advance, but I will continue to keep you updated.
Hopefully you got to check out the lunar eclipse this morning in the western horizon..clouds and fog were in and out though, making it hard to see. I was lucky enough to catch it for its totality which was at 4:59 a.m. CST.
