It will remain mostly cloudy, windy and mild today with a few isolated showers developing east of Dallas this afternoon. These will not be severe and won't amount to too much. Afternoon highs today will be back in the low seventies, with a south wind gusting to 35 mph.

It'll remain cloudy overnight, with a thin line of showers and thunderstorms developing about 70 miles west of DFW after midnight. The greatest threat for severe storms will be NW of DFW just after midnight. This paper thin line of storms will plow through here a little before daybreak containing some isolated damaging wind and maybe some imbedded small hail. As if now, I'm not concerned about a big tornado threat, however, A brief spin up can always occur within a severe thunderstorm.

By mid morning Thursday, a strong cold front will blow through here shifting the wind to the north. Gusts to 35 to 40 mph will be possible through the the day. Temperatures will tumble into the forties by late morning into the afternoon, with wind chills in the thirties on your way home from work.

Temperatures will continue to tumble down into the low to mid twenties by Friday morning, with less wind under a clear sky.

Friday looks sunny and cool, with less wind. Highs will be in the low to mid fifties. The average high this time of the year is 61゚

You want a nice weekend, well you've got it! Plenty of sunshine will dominate. Low sixties for Saturday, pushing 70゚ by Sunday.

Our next weather maker arrives here Monday and the Tuesday bringing a chance for scattered showers and storms with it. With temperatures well up into the seventies, there could be some strong storms around, but were still days away from this next possible about. Details to come.

As of now, it looks like a very strong cold front will move through here late Tuesday and into Wednesday. There may even be some precipitation behind the front. Stay tuned.
