A roller coaster ride with the temperatures, the lack of rainfall, a bunch of wind, and cedar fever.. those are your weather stories over the next 7 days.
Our west to east flow in the upper levels of the atmosphere continues across the nation this week. Unfortunately, all of the storm systems that are plaguing California right now will dry out as they enter the central plains states. Rain will start breaking out east of the Mississippi River on Thursday and then again late into the weekend into early next week. Unfortunately, North Texas will stay dry and our late week cool down will be brief.
We're waking up this morning to temperatures in the 30s across North Texas, with a very light wind and some high clouds. Plenty of sunshine today with warming temperatures. Readings will reach the mid to upper 60s.
Tonight calls for a few high clouds, and not as cool. Lows will drop into the low to mid 40s.

A south wind picks up tomorrow and especially into Wednesday. Temperatures will come close to record highs tomorrow with readings in the upper 70s. Some areas may hit 80° on Wednesday. The record on Tuesday is 79°. Wednesday's record is 83°.

Our next cold front arrives while you're sleeping Thursday morning. The wind will shift to the north and gust to 30 mph. Afternoon highs will drop to near seasonal norms. Readings will be in the mid 50s on Thursday, near 60 on Friday. Unfortunately, no rain will accompany this front.
Another nice weekend is shaping up, as temperatures warm into the mid-60s on Saturday. We'll be pushing 70 again by next Sunday with a gusty south wind.
