Two more warm days ahead for North Texas
Two more warm days ahead for North Texas
National Weather Service - Fort Worth

We're waking up to slightly drier air in the wake of that weak cold front that produced the isolated thunderstorms in the eastern parts of north Texas last night. Temperatures are in the fifties to low 60s this morning.

We've got two more warm days ahead with highs in the mid 80s both today and tomorrow.

I've talked about the severe weather threat, mainly between Midnight and 7 AM Wednesday morning, so let's move on to the wind and cooler temperatures!

The strongest cold front of our early fall season will arrive Wednesday morning. Wind will shift to the WNW with gusts to 30 mph. Temperatures will hover in the low 70s all day with plenty of sunshine. We drop into the upper 40s to low 50s for Thursday morning. By afternoon, temperatures will only warm to near 70゚. We will also be dealing with a strong northwesterly wind with gusts of 45 mph! All of us dip into the 40s for Friday and Saturday morning with highs again near 70゚ Friday with a NW wind gusting as high as 40 mph once again!

The weekend looks fantastic with lows in the 40s to low 50s and afternoon highs in the mid to upper 70s.

Note: I'll keep an eye on our severe weather threat and will continue to give updates on the timing and threats as we get closer to the early Wednesday morning event.
