A 2-year-old female rhino named Amara underwent groundbreaking surgery to repair a fractured ulna in her right front leg.
Equine surgeons, using techniques typically reserved for horses, performed the five-hour procedure at Knowsley Safari Park in England.
After the surgery, Amara was up and moving with a cast on her leg.

The successful operation is being hailed as a world-first for rhino medical care.
