KROQ morning show hosts Klein and Ally invited one hundred of the richest people in America to their upcoming wedding. However, they're not actually getting married... KROQ's new morning team just wanted to test the theory that the super rich are so out of touch they will "probably just send a bag of cash and RSVP no," according to host Kevin Klein.
It didn't take long for their theory to prove true, as local billionaire and LA mayoral candidate Rick Caruso sent the pair a "giant box of Sasanian caviar" with a note wishing them well on their big day.
Klein and Ally immediately gave the gifted caviar to a listener of their show. "We're like the Robin Hoods of radio," said Klein.
"I'm definitely regretting all the mediocre wedding gifts I've given over the years. $300 of Caviar?!" added Ally. "As much as I want to bathe in it, we must pay it forward to the fine people of LA."
Is Rick Caruso so rich that he's sending random people caviar in the mail? And how many more of America's richest people will send gifts? We'll have to listen together to find out. You can hear Klein.Ally.SHOW weekday mornings from 6-10a on 106.7 KROQ.
