CULVER CITY (CNS) - An armed suspect remains at large Wednesday after fleeing the scene of an attempted catalytic converter theft and pointing a firearm at a victim, authorities said.
Officers responded to the 3300 block of Cattaraugus Avenue, just south of Venice Boulevard, at around 5:20 a.m. Wednesday to reports of an armed robbery, according to the Culver City Police Department.

The victim heard "sawing noises" and noticed the suspect was standing near his vehicle. When the victim left his residence to check on his property, the suspect pointed a firearm at him, prompting the man to go back inside and call authorities.
The suspect, described as approximately 25 years old, fled in a vehicle with a loud exhaust, but no further description was provided.
