Dinah’s Chicken in Glendale, along with two other businesses, were targeted by thieves Friday morning.
KNX News’ Karen Adams reported the forensics team with Glendale police collected evidence from a bakery and two restaurants in a mini strip mall on San Fernando Rd. near Los Feliz. Thieves shattered the glass on the doors of each business to gain entry.
“My office was torn up. They sort of ran through the place in four or five minutes. We don't keep any money in the registers, of course, and leave them open, so one register store is thrown on the ground with change all over the place, but really, they didn't get anything,” Linda Pearson, owner of Dinah’s Chicken, explained.
She said the thieves made a mess, another bit of financial collateral damage for her business. Her Ring camera captured the thieves breaking the glass door.

It’s not the first time Dinah’s Chicken has been hit, Pearson noted.
“We've been here 58 years. I would say there's probably been 10 of these situations where they break glass and tear up things in the store itself. They've really never gotten anything so people out there don't try because there's nothing to get except chicken,” she said.
Pearson and the owners of El Pavo Bakery and El Ruby Cafe said they’ll be open for business once they get the mess cleaned up.
