Newly inducted Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Dolly Parton recently shared her retirement plans, or should we say lack thereof, since the iconic singer and songwriter has absolutely no intentions of slowing her roll anytime soon.

Speaking with host Ken Bruce on the U.K.'s Greatest Hits Radio, Parton shared that she would sooner "drop dead" while performing on stage before fans caught her planning any sort of exit from the spotlight.

"Every dream kind of spawns another dream," Parton says of her drive to continue. "You can branch off of almost anything that happens and make a business of that as well. So, it's kind of like a tree with good roots. It's got a lot of limbs and it's also got a lot of leaves. So, why not make the most of it?"

"I'm not one to sit around doing nothing," Dolly explained. "I would never retire. I'll just hopefully drop dead in the middle of a song onstage someday. Hopefully, one I've written."

"That's how I hope to go. Of course, we don't have much of a choice in that. But as long as I'm able to work, as long as my health is good and my husband is good. I mean, the only way that I would ever slow down or stop would be for that reason," says Dolly. "But in the meantime, I'm gonna make hay while the sun shines."

"I have new dreams every day," she adds. "I want to have my own network TV show where I can actually do a lot of new things and produce -- and I want to have my own story, called 'The Life of Many Colors,' where I have a whole series of my life. Stuff that people haven't seen or heard about, and my people, and where I come from, how I've gotten to be how and who I am. To really have the behind-the-scenes and the adventures of my life."

She says hosting more TV shows, appearing in more movies, creating her own branded clothing, makeup, and wig lines are all on the table. There's no stopping Dolly... and honestly, who would even think of such a thing?

Dolly's latest album, Rockstar, arrives in November and features tons of collaborations with some of Rock N' Roll's biggest stars, including Elton John, Sting, Journey's Steve Perry, Aerosmith's Steven TylerBlondie's Debbie HarryJoan JettMiley Cyrus, Melissa EtheridgeLizzo, Beatles Paul McCartney, and Ringo Starr, and more.
