LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Firefighters battled a greater alarm blaze this afternoon in multiple businesses in a row of commercial buildings in downtown Los Angeles.
The fire was reported at 3:09 p.m. at 211 E. 12th St. and arriving firefighters observed heavy smoke showing from one building, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department's Brian Humphrey.
A team of 90 firefighters were assigned to the battle, Humphrey said, and were engaged in "aggressive and well-coordinated offensive firefighting operations."
The flames involved as many as three of the five adjoining businesses in the 11,250 square-foot row of buildings, Humphrey said.
No injuries were reported.
