Duke’s Malibu reopened on Friday for the first time since the Palisades Fire.

The iconic establishment survived not just the wildfire but the mudslides that came after.

General Manager Jimmy Chavez told KNX News’ Pete Demetriou he was looking forward to greeting locals and new customers with “our same friendly and genuine hospitality with one of the best views in L.A.”

Long-time customers like Alex couldn’t wait to come back, adding that he’s looking forward to an “ice cold beer, stare at the ocean, get away from reality for a couple of minutes before I got to go back to work.”

For now, the hours will be limited to Thursday to Sunday from 12 pm to 8 pm.
