Firefighters Thursday put out a blaze in a Baldwin Hills-area home where the first arriving crews found flames tearing through two rooms of the one-story residence.
A firefighter sustained a minor burn injury battling the blaze, which was reported just after 10 a.m. Thursday at a single-family residence in the 4000 block of Punta Alta Drive.

The firefighter was taken to a hospital for treatment, said Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department. Two residents assessed at the scene declined to be taken to a hospital, she said.
A dog was also rescued from the home.
Thirty-six firefighters contended with heavy flames, but had the fire out in 27 minutes, confining the burn damage to two rooms in the home, Stewart said.
"Despite the close proximity of the adjacent structures, firefighters prevented the fire from extending," according to Stewart.
Four residents were left displaced, she said.
"LAFD Arson is responding to assist the incident commander with the cause determination," Stewart said.
