Ford has issued a massive product recall because of a dangerous defect.
Ford says three years’ worth of releases of its Focus model car could be more susceptible to a crash because of an issue with the oil pump.
As a result, the auto maker has issued a recall for all 2016, 2017 and 2018 model Ford Focuses.
The defect also affects the 2018-2022 model year editions of the Ford EcoSport.
In all, almost 140,000 vehicles will be affected by the recall.

The oil bump drive belt or drive belt tensioner can fail due to the issue, which results in a loss of engine oil pressure. This makes the engine stall.
All affected Ford vehicle owners will be notified by mail starting on February 13.
