The holiday travel rush has arrived as some Southern Californians are set to get out of town.

The busiest travel days will be December 21, December 22, December 28, and December 29, according to the Transportation Security Administration.

TSA estimated 774,000 people will be screened at Los Angeles International Airport between December 17 and December 23. It also estimated that more than 791,000 people will be screened at LAX December 24 through December 30.

“The most important thing is to understand that as the busiest origin and destination airport in the world and as this is a really busy holiday time, people should allow themselves extra time,” Dae Levine, spokesperson for Los Angeles World Airports, told KNX News.

In order to make to holiday traveling easier, travelers are urged to avoid wrapping any gifts they’re bringing onto the place because security may have to unwrap them.

Those with TSA precheck can also now use California mobile driver's licenses at the airport security stations. You can download them on the DMV website here.
